ABOUT ME
MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College
BA in Creative Writing and Literature from Eckerd College

14 YEARS editing manuscripts, ranging from memoir to fantasy to literary fiction to self-help. Structure and pace are my sweet spots. I relish crafting a smooth transition and helping writers flesh out a scene to hit that right emotional chord. Finding loosely connecting threads or plot holes is difficult when you’re so close to the material; I love that I can provide an outside perspective and help writers weave a tight narrative that consumes the reader.

6 YEARS as a writing coach in multiple collegiate writing centers. I helped undergrad and graduate students deconstruct prompts, interpret feedback, make action plans, and tackle revisions for academic essays and creative portfolios. This position was equal parts project manager, therapist, and hype woman—and I loved every minute of it. To me, there is nothing more energizing than watching someone regain their confidence and direction, and as a writing coach that is my main goal. I want my clients to say “I’ve got this” and mean it. Between juggling work, children, anxiety, and now a pandemic, we have a million things on our plates – let me be your partner, whether for accountability or structure and lighten your literary load.

5+ YEARS as a copyeditor for an e-commerce company, juggling the marketing, editorial, and internal copy of four furniture brands. I feel comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and getting down and dirty with grammar. During my tenure, I led editing workshops where I developed grammar cheat sheets, concision filters, and more writer resources that I’d be happy to share with you or tailor to your needs.
